How To Get Started Working From Home Online
If you found this website and article, good chance is you are looking for a way to start working from home online, am I right?
Hopefully I will be able to teach you something new in sharing what I have learned so far in my own journey of launching a small business from home.
As I am sure you have figured out already, there are a lot of pros about working from home online – and some cons as well (although few in my opinion).
Working for yourself means that you have no immediate boss, you are your own boss and you are setting the schedule of your own workdays.
This is something that I love in particular. Starting and ending your workday in the way you prefer. Personally I like to take small breaks, going out for a walk or going to the gym.
If you’re new to working from home online, it can be difficult to structure your days in a productive way at first. But don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of it soon.
There is also plenty of help to get. You can find a lot of tips on YouTube, in books or on blogs just like this one.
Another great thing about working from home online is that you’ll have more time for your family and friends.
Basically more time for you to do what you really love doing. I would say this is the biggest win and probably the main reason why people like you and me want to work from home.
It also comes down to if you are a person that needs a lot of social contacts outside every day or not.
Some people don’t like to sit too much at home. But there are ways around this as well. Video meetings online are becoming increasingly popular and why not go to your local coffee place to get some work done a few times a week?
How to make money online without paying anything
A lot of people are actively searching on Google for ways on how to make money online without paying anything. It seems to be something of a dream to be able to generate money without any investments…
I would say it is possible to make some money online without paying anything, but that would most likely mean you earn some rewards for completing smaller tasks or similar. There are many websites online that offer these kind of micro jobs and surveys that you can complete etc.
However, if you are looking to create stable income streams and perhaps a full time income that would eventually be able to replace your 9-5 job, you are most likely going to have to invest some money for tools and knowledge that will facilitate and speed-up the launching of your online career.
You can click here to check out my Resources page to see which tools that helped me create an income online.
By all means, you could of course try to do everything for free by yourself, if you are bent on learning how to make money online without paying anything…
…but, this will most likely lead to a very long learning period and that you move in circles instead of taking shortcuts to learn exactly what you need to succeed.
I recommend taking courses or investing in useful memberships online if that means you can get started working online faster or having your own business launched.
What usually happens to “freebees” (people who try to get everything for free online) is that it usually takes so long time for them to see any return on their time invested, and they usually quit before they see any success.
They become disgruntled and tend to believe everything online “is a scam”. And yes, while there still are scams, there are also many valid and good opportunities online for you to create an income.
You will have to work for it (like with everything else in life) and most likely also do some minor investments to get started, but don’t give up, you will be seeing positive results sooner or later if you keep trying.
Good way to make money online
There are many options today if you’re looking for a good way to make money online…
⦁ Are you looking for short term or long term income streams?
⦁ Do you want to get paid by the hour, or
⦁ are you planning to build a passive income?
These are important questions you should ask yourself that can give you an idea of where to start looking or how to get started.
In fact, one of the biggest challenges as a beginner online, is navigating through all the information that is in front of you online these days.
There is literally an “information overload” that you are confronted with when starting to look for a good way to make money online.
For this reason it can really be a good help to have a mentor or follow someone online that you resonate with. Perhaps there is a YouTube channel you are already following or a podcast you are listening to?
You can learn a lot by just following people who are some years ahead of you in working from home online.
Again, taking a course or following a program step-by-step usually helps as well. No matter if you would like to make money blogging, making YouTube videos, doing drop shipping, eCommerce or affiliate marketing (just to name a few options), everything is possible.
There is guidance or help to get for almost anything online these days. Once you find something that looks interesting to you and fun to occupy yourself with for the long term, then try to focus on that solely for a while. That way you can actually see if it seems to be a good way to make money online.
In the coming paragraphs below the video, I am going to share my preferred and “good way to make money online” and show you how to get started if you would like to use the same business model…
Affiliate marketing program for beginners
Affiliate marketing is an ever growing sector of the online economy and many of the major companies today have affiliate programs that you can enroll in as an independent affiliate.
If you dont know what affiliate marketing is, it essentially means that you can promote other companies’ or persons’ products online and that you will get paid a commission if your actions result in a sale.
To be able to do this practically, you will get a unique link when you register as an affiliate. You will use this link when you do your promotions online and when people click on that link, the clicks will get traced back to you.
Affiliate marketing is now a viable business model worldwide and thousands upon thousands of people use it to make a living.
I favor it myself since it is relatively easy to get started with, and you dont need to manage any products yourself or do customer support etc.
The central thing you do is driving traffic (people) to a link and then learn how to convert those leads into sales.
The cool thing is that you can promote anything from books to clothes to insurances etc. So, no matter what passion or hobby you have, there will most likely be affiliate programs in those niches that you can use with many products to promote.
So how do you actually promote your links online and how do you drive traffic to your offers?
Well, it takes some training to get really good at it, but it can also be strikingly simple as well.
For example, you might already have some assets online with lots of followers and traffic. This could be:
- Instagram account,
- YouTube channel,
- Twitter account or similar.
If that is the case, you can simply put your affiliate link in your profile somewhere with a simple comment beside it, like “Click here for more information on how to…”.
However, if you don’t have any assets with free traffic already and you are new to affiliate marketing or internet marketing in general, then I would recommend you to join anyone of the available courses, groups or affiliate marketing programs for beginners out there.
Personally, I would recommend that you check out the Success Challenge for Affiliate Marketing. It is really a great affiliate marketing program for beginners and intermediate internet marketers. It shows you, step-by-step:
- how to build up your own business from home,
- how to attract customers, and
- how to open up multiple income streams (and much more…)
It is the same training I took and am still going through myself (training sessions are added frequently). They have a free and extensive webinar that is an eye-opener, you can check it out by clicking here.
